Reasons to Know and Cherish God’s Word

“This book (the Bible) contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveller’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. Here paradise is restored, Heaven opened and the gates of Hell disclosed. Christ is its grand object, our good is its design and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened in the judgement, and will be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labour, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.”

The Doctrine of Heaven – Part 12

John’s Witness of the Third Heaven – Part 8

We ended our last post with the “Alleluia” celebration taking place in the Third Heaven after the Judgment of the “Great Whore” – Revelation 19:1-6 “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.”

That text inspired the writing of the “Hallelujah Chorus” by George Frederick Handel. It was considered the first song to prompt a standing ovation. As glorious as the performance of this music is, I ask you to listen to it and try and imagine what the chorus in Heaven will sound like:

I am willing to proclaim that it will be above anything we can imagine! And we true Believers will be a part of it! I sense the need to stop here and ask, Dear Reader, “If, God forbid, something happens and you die tomorrow, do you know for a certainty that you will be a part of God’s Family in Heaven?” If you cannot say yes to that question, I take this time now to beg you to please click on the tab at the top of this page titled “The Only Way” and call out to God for His Salvation. NOW is the appointed time! “WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED!”

If you need to reach out, please contact me via the Contact Anna tab at the top. God Bless You!
