“Occupy till I Come”

Occupy = consume all of one’s attention or time; keep busy with

There have been times of late that I have went before my LORD asking, “What am I to do? How am I to be? during these turbulent times?” Of course He reminded me what all of His children are to be doing, in all times, in His Word. I am of the personality of action and fixing things. But there are happenings that are out of my control; they are totally in God’s control. And this battle we are seeing is God’s battle. So the best and easiest thing to do is to be about His work until we hear the trumpet of the arch angel or slip up to meet Him face to face in death.

The following Scripture tells us very clearly what we are to be about, especially as we see the day approaching. The word occupy does not mean to just sit on our hands and wait. It means we are to be consumed with being about the LORD’s work. Because this earthly body I reside in does not allow me to do as I used to in serving the LORD, He has led me to other ways that are as much a blessing to me as they are to others. He has shown me ways to use the gifts He has blessed me with to help others. As long as there is breath in my body, He has use for me. What an honor and a privilege! If you are not sure of what to do just ask Jesus. He will show you and lead you!

Luke 19: 11-28 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

Ever Growing Faith

I was so blessed today in my morning devotion from God’s Word and our Baptist Bread that I had to share!

Luke 17: 5-6 “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.”

FAITH REACHES UP A TRUSTING HAND

INTO THE EMPTY AIR,

AND FINDS THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD

IS WAITING HER HAND THERE.

SHE STEPS SERENELY INTO SPACE,

NOR FEELS THE FALL NOR SHOCK,

AND FINDS HER GROPING FEET ARE PLACED

SAFE ON GOD’S SOLID ROCK.

FOR GOD AND FAITH SHALL ALWAYS MEET;

IT IS GOD’S LAW UNBROKEN,

HIS EAR IS ALWAYS LISTENING FOR

FAITH’S FAINTEST WHISPER SPOKEN.

I stand in fervent prayer for God’s merciful miracles to continue in the body of my dear sister Mendy – all according to His perfect timing and Will!
